Thank you for

renting our studio!

Welcome to The Shadow Box Studio! We want you to have a creative, comfortable, and stress-free experience in the space. Please review these guidelines before your rental and share them with everyone attending your session.

Arrival instructions

We are located in Brookshire Business Park. When facing the business park from the road, Building 6120 is the building on the far right.

Pull into the alley along the far-right side of the business park and park near the garage door for Unit F. You will receive an access code for the back door through Peerspace messages.

If you need to use the rear garage door for loading or unloading, the padlock key is located on the hook beside the garage door. After use, please close the garage door, secure the padlock, and return the key to its hook.

Please keep the garage door closed during your shoot to help maintain the studio’s temperature.

Additional guests should park on the opposite side of the building near the front entrance. You will need to unlock the front door for them from inside the studio. Please leave the key in the lock and make sure the front door is locked when you leave.

YOUR RENTAL TIME

Your reservation includes all load-in, setup, shooting, breakdown, cleanup, and departure time.

Please do not enter the studio before your scheduled start time. The studio must be cleaned, reset, and fully vacated by the end of your reservation. If you think you may need additional time, extend your booking in advance whenever possible.

Overtime is not guaranteed and may be charged at the applicable overtime rate.

GARAGE ACCESS

The rear garage door may be used for loading and unloading. The padlock key hangs on the hook beside the garage door.

After loading or unloading:

• Close the garage door
• Secure the padlock
• Return the key to its hook

Please keep the garage door closed during your session to help maintain the studio’s temperature.

FRONT ENTRANCE

The front entrance can be unlocked from inside the studio for arriving guests. Please leave the front-door key in its designated lock and make sure the door is locked before departing.

GUESTS

Only the number of people included in your reservation may enter the studio. Please contact us before your session if your guest count changes.

The person who booked the studio is responsible for the conduct of all guests and for any damage caused during the rental.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Pets require advance approval.

USING THE SETS

The Y2K and boudoir sets are available for photography, video, and content creation.

Furniture and lightweight props may be moved carefully to customize your shoot. Please lift rather than drag furniture, and return everything to its original location before leaving.

Do not move large, mounted, fragile, or specialty items without permission. Do not stand on furniture or place dirty shoes on beds, couches, or upholstered pieces.

Please avoid sitting or placing items on decorative pieces that are not intended to support weight.

PAPER BACKDROPS

Paper backdrops may be pulled onto the floor for full-length photographs. Please use only the amount needed for your session.

If the exposed paper becomes dirty or torn, you may trim the minimum amount necessary to create a clean edge. Excessive backdrop use or damage may result in an additional charge.

Do not walk on backdrop paper unless it is being used for the photograph. Clean or cover shoes before stepping onto the paper.

AERIAL EQUIPMENT

Aerial equipment may only be used with prior approval.

Guests may not attempt aerial movements or skills they have not been properly trained to perform. Each aerialist is responsible for working within their experience level and arranging for a qualified coach or spotter when appropriate.

Do not remove, adjust, climb, swing from, or attach anything to the rigging or aerial points without express permission.

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Only equipment and supplies included with your reservation may be used. Please request approval before using studio lighting, stands, ladders, extension cords, tools, or specialty equipment.

Return all borrowed equipment to its designated location before leaving. Report any equipment issue or damage immediately.

FOOD AND DRINKS

Food and nonalcoholic beverages are permitted when handled carefully. Keep drinks away from electronics, equipment, paper backdrops, and upholstered sets.

Alcohol requires advance approval and may not be served to anyone under 21.

PROHIBITED ITEMS AND ACTIVITIES

The following are not permitted without written approval:

• Smoking or vaping inside the studio
• Illegal drugs
• Open flames, candles, smoke bombs, or pyrotechnics
• Fog or haze machines
• Glitter, loose confetti, feathers, sand, or artificial snow
• Paint, fake blood, body oil, or water effects
• Nails, screws, staples, or strong adhesives
• Pornography or sexual activity
• Any illegal or dangerous activity

Please ask before bringing anything that could stain, shed, create smoke, leave residue, or require unusual cleanup.

CLEANING AND RESETTING THE STUDIO

Before leaving:

• Return furniture, props, and equipment to their original locations
• Remove all personal items and decorations
• Place trash in the appropriate bins
• Wipe up spills and clean any mess created during your rental
• Sweep the floor if needed
• Turn off any equipment or lights you used
• Close and secure the garage door
• Confirm that the front and back doors are locked
• Return all keys to their designated locations

Additional cleaning, repair, replacement, or reset fees may be charged if the studio is left excessively dirty, damaged, or out of order.

DAMAGES AND ACCIDENTS

Please report spills, breakage, equipment problems, injuries, or other incidents immediately—even if the issue seems minor.

The booking guest is financially responsible for damage caused by anyone in their group. Promptly reporting an accident gives us the best chance to repair or clean the affected item.
